Search All Princeton Homes For Sale

Princeton Township will conduct real estate revaluations for all properties in 2010. Princeton Township selected Appraisal Systems to conduct this valuation, which will include both exterior and interior of each Princeton township home. The goal as stated by the Appraisal Systems is to “fairly distribute the necessary tax burden among all property owners based upon the true value of their property”.

The question of course is whether this will increase the real estate taxes in the township. Appraisal Systems answer in their brochure is that it’s “not necessarily” the case.

They say that although “the assessment will increase tax rate …to calculate your tax bill is going to decrease”.

This is what they will take in account when establishing the values for each Princeton Property.

• “All information believed to have some bearing on the value of the home”.
• Real estate market trends, examining the sales within three year of revaluation.
• “Delineation of neighborhoods”,
• Land sales during the same period

Princeton NJ homeowners who want to be prepared for this revaluation could benefit from gathering information that could help them in this assessment. With many Princeton propertiess having declined in value, this information may be helpful to keep your assessment relative to the market values.

Princeton New Jersey real estate agents, at least some of them, have real estate web sites. These sites have been around for a while.  They are sold by companies and come “pre-packaged “, containing the same information whether it’s for the New Jersey real estate agents in Princeton or agents in Alaska.  Needless to say that real estate in Alaska does not resemble real estate in Princeton. There is no way a home buyer or seller could find a good real estate agent in Princeton, since these sites are the same and the information never changes.  Consumers of Princeton homes for sale and anyone else interested in Princeton deserve better.

I have to admit I bought one of those sites. While I tried to modify it to be more relevant to the Princeton NJ area, it was still not what I wanted.

Then I discovered blogs and the rest is history. I have been writing articles  for New Jersey home buyers and sellers for almost two years. Hey, even New York Times noticed. I have two blogs one is Princeton Real Estate Homes and the other is Princeton Real Estate Blog. The goal of both is to help real estate consumers in Princeton, Hopewell, Montgomery, Lawrenceville and other surrounding areas.

The problem I encountered is with the providers of the software and hardware for these blogs. These companies have sprung up as the demand for blogging increased. many of them are still not capable of delivering consistent level of service and support that I need.

This site is my response to this situation. I decided to take matters into my own hands and develop the site on my own. If you are reading this, be kind - developing web sites is not something I have ever done:)
